Lab Assignments

These class labs should be done along with the Class Schedule, class lectures, and your Personal Web Presentation.
Tripod and the Stage Server will use FrontPage, and  the CCSF Server will use HTML on the Unix system.

 

 

1.                 Please explore Bizland and Tripod (register for FPSE) as discussed in class. Obtain free email from Yahoo.

2.                 Please create a FrontPage web page to include sound, text, gifs, and a marquee. Develop/modify structure and samptable pages. Explore/publish to CCSF (Unix) using WS_FTP and (Frontpage server) using Frontpage.

3.                 Please create a FrontPage Web Page that includes Page Transition/color as discussed in class and publish to the Stage Server (IIS server).

4.                 Create a FrontPage Corporate web site. See Class notes and publish to the Frontpage Server.

5.                 Create a FrontPage multimedia Web Page that includes Bookmarks, and publish to the Stage Server.

6.                 Create a FrontPage Service Web Site that includes an Include function, Slide Show, Hover Buttons, and a  collapsible outline, and publish to the Stage Server and the Frontpage server.

7.                 Create a Personal web site with a Theme and Shared Borders/Navigation Bars and publish to the Stage Sever.

8.                 Create an Automatic Slide Show from the notes in class (meta), and publish to CCSF (Unix).

9.                 Create a recipe web page as explained in class, and publish to the Stage Server.

10.            Create a web site using Frames (Frame II—Yes, No, Maybe), and publish to the Stage Server.

11.            Create a web site using Forms and a Search Engine, and publish to the Stage Server.

12.            Use and practice with the Web Utilities as demonstrated in class.

13.            Create a Web page using customized forms. Create an Auto Slide Show as discussed in class, and publish to the Stage Server. Create/explore the Marathon and Mortgage Sites.

14.            Develop a web page using Java Applets as discussed class, and publish to the Stage Server.

15.            Develop a web page using a Java Applet with a codebase. Use Watermarks in one of the pages.

16.     Update your Marathon and Mortgage sites.

17.     Create a web page using a Popup Menu and include AVI, Mpg/Java concepts in a page.

18.     Develop a web page, include a thumbnail, discussion template, and a Media Player/Credit Roll.

19.     Develop a web Site, and include Java Applets, gif images, and a Discussion area.

20.     Develop a web Site that includes a Search Engine, Database, Feedback Form, Guest Book, and publish to the Stage Server. See your Mortgage site.
