1. Create a one-page web and save it to your computer at home, in class, or in the computer lab. Name the web.
2. This one page web must, at least, include the following information:
a. Your name
b. Your e-mail address as a link
3. Publish this web to your web site location at Bizland using the directions below.
4. Directions for publishing:
a. With your one page web open, choose File, and point to Publish.
b. In the dialog box that requests where to publish, follow these guidelines:
i. Type http://yourname.bizland.com (using your web address).
ii. You will be prompted for your user name and password.
5. This web will be the root web and used to link other webs during the semester.
6. Close the one page web on your computer.
7. Launch a browser and type in web address—http://yourname.bizland.com. Test your web.
8. With FrontPage 2000 open, open your newly published web at Bizland [Click File, and point to Open Web]. Type http://yourname.bizland.com in the text box. Rename your web to index.htm (the default). Click File, and point to Close Web when you are finished.
9. Link all other webs to this initial web. All subsequent assignments should be published to Bizland.
10. Do the following to transfer a new web to your initial web. Type http://yourname.bizland.com/NameOfFolder (using your correct login name and folder). Create a link from your initial web to this new web.
NOTES:
Set up an account with Bizland—http://www.bizland.com. Give them an E-mail address that you currently receive information. Your usename, password, and activation code will be sent to you via E-mail.
Before you can use your new website, you must go to http://www.bizland.com/utils/ActivateUser.cmp and activate ii, using the activation code.
Type http://www.bizland.com/member in your browser and type in your username and password when prompted. Choose from the menu to enable FrontPage Extensions, and follow the directions.
