I think the left bird has a pattern of fine streaks at the edges of the auriculars that matches Bewick's Wren and no other bird I can think of. I do not think this pattern is shown by any vireo. After not looking at the right-hand bird for a couple weeks, just reading others' comments, I went back and looked at it again. I think that no warbler but MacGillivray's should show the marks this bird has. I thought the suggestion posed that it might be one of those funky Orange-crowns was bright but I don't agree now. The obvious fleshy paleness on the bill cannot be matched by any Orange-crown I've ever seen, and the whole rest of the bird pretty much says Mac. The breast and throat color and pattern seem right on, as do the overly-heavy eye-arcs which I now think no Orange-crown could show. As for the apparent streaks on the sides...well, someone mentioned they enlarged image and thought they weren't Real. In every other respect this looks like a Mac and so I will cast my vote for that species.
