1. Do some searching for information on aspects of global warming that interest you. Spend some time browsing the links on global warming I've compiled, conducting web searches on your own, or looking through books or magazines at the library.

2. Choose 5 sources that interest you and skim them, reading bits here and there to get a sense of the kind of information each offers.

3. On a separate sheet of paper, type up the following notes on each source: *Give relevant information, such as author, title, organization, and/or web address.
*Summarize in at least two sentences what the source is about.
*For each source, write down two specific facts or details that interest you.
*For each source, write down a possible focused research paper topic.
