Alex

In Honduras, children celebrate their birthday at home.  They sometimes go to the park. They usually eat rice, chicken and cake. Parents usually buy food and mother sometimes cooks. The guests always buy toys or clothes for the children. In the children’s party, there’s music for people to dance. People hardly ever play game. They often dance. Children’s parties are very fun in my country.

Alma

I interviewed my classmate Rosa. She is from Mexico. 

In Mexico, children celebrate their birthday at home. They eat tamales and cake. Children celebrate with their families and friends. Their mother prepares the food. People send invitation. People give a lot of toys as the gifs. People dance salsa cumbia. The party begins at 1:00pm and finishes at l0:00pm.

 

 

Angel

I interviewed my classmate Julio. He is from Mexico.

In Mexico, children celebrate their birthday at home. They eat candies and cakes. They celebrate with friends and family. The people prepare the food for family.They eat moles and tamales. People send invitations to their friends. The guests give toys. The people dance. People play games .The people play children’s music. They sing happy birthday. The party begins at seven o’clock. The party finishes at midnight .When the children’s’ party finishes, they open the gifts together.

 

Baltazar

I interviewed my classmate Sergio. He is from in Guatemala.

In Guatemala, children celebrate their birthday in the park. They eat tamales and fish. People send invitations. The mother cooks different food. People send invitations and emails. They wear special clothes in every color. The guests wear different colors. People go to the church and give toys or some money. Some people play games and soccer at the birthday party.

 

Felix

I interviewed my classmate Javier. He is from Mexico.

In Mexico, children celebrate their birthday. They eat cake, chicken and fish. People send invitation. They celebrate with the parents, friends and neighbors. The families prepare de food. They like old kind of food. Everybody gives gifts like: Toys clothes and shoes. And the old people dance to feel good. They like Banda and Cumbia. They like to sing “Happy Birthday to you." The party always starts at 6:00 A.M and finishes at 12:00 P.M. Finally, they celebrate children’s birthday with candy and piñata.

 

Hileana

I interviewed my classmate Wilfredo. He is from Peru.

In Peru, children celebrate their birthday at home. They eat cookies, juice and jellies. They celebrate with their family and friends. The mother and sisters or anybody who wants to helps prepare the food. The kind of food the people eat is typical food like rice and chicken. The people send invitation. If the child has new clothes, it’s a good time to wear them. The guests give gifts, for example:  toys, clothes and books. Sometimes the guests give money, and they buy or make greeting cards. One interesting thing for the party is the music because the people dance and for the kids a very typical tradition is to break the piñata. When it is open, a lot of candy and toys come out. The party begins at 5:00 pm and ends at 8:00 pm. Before the party end, they give a little candy bag for the kids. But the most important thing is everyone sings “Happy Birthday.” Then all the guests try a piece of cake. Something interesting in a birthday in my country is: They have a good time with their family and friends. It is funnier if they have a clown in the party.

Javier

I interviewed my classmate Felix. He is from Mexico.

In Mexico, children celebrate their birthday at home. They eat beef, tamales and chicken. They celebrate their birthday with their parents, friends and neighbors. The family prepares the food. All the people eat all the food. People send invitations and call guests. The children wear especial clothes. The children get toys and clothes. The people dance. The people listen to cumbia and   banda. The people sing “Happy Birthday to you.” The party begins at 8:00 pm. The party finishes at 12:00 pm. In the party, one interesting thing is candy, cake and piñata. 

 

Ledy

I interviewed my classmate Vilma.  She is from El Salvador.

In El Salvador, children celebrate their birthday at home. They eat sandwich. They celebrate with friends and families. Their mothers prepare pupusas.  People send invitation. People give toys, clothes and shoes. They buy cards. People play Cumbia. People dance. Children break pinata. People sing “Happy Birthday.” The party begins at 2.00pm and finishes at 5.00pm. People sometimes play different games.

 

Luis

I interviewed my classmate Rosa. She is from Mexico.

In Mexico, children celebrate their birthday at home with their family they eat cake, chicken and fish. They celebrate with their family and friends. The mother and sister prepare the food. The people eat some chicken soup. People send invitations before the party. The children dance with their friends. All the people dance, then the children play basketball games. The people play rock-and-roll to dance. The party starts at 5:00 pm and finishes at 10:00 p.m. The parents give the gifts first.

 

Marcial

I interviewed my classmate Yojana. He is from Guatemala.

In Guatemala, children celebrate their birthday  at home. They eat cake and tamales. They celebrate with family and friend. People send invitations . The parents prepare a loft food. The children like special toys. They like white, red, and blue. People dance. They children play games. People dance meringue, cumbia, and regueton. The party begins at  11:00 A.M and finisher at 12:00 P.M.  Children always celebrate birthdays in my country.

Maria

I interviewed my classmate is Ronald.  He is from El Salvador.

In Salvador, children celebrate their birthday at home or in the park. They eat cake, salad and chicken. Their relatives send invitation. The mother makes the food. The people eat food special day. The people usually make phone calls. The guests sometimes wear costume. Before the party, they go to the church. The guests give toys or clothes. Sometimes the guests give money. The people dance and play the game cards. The party begins at noon and finishes in the afternoon. They have fun.

 

Modesto

I interviewed my classmate Rafael. He is from Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico.

In Mexico, children celebrate their birthday at home, They eat birria. They celebrate with parents and friends. Their families prepare the food. People eat tamales and pozole. People send invitations. The child wears new clothes and new shoes. The guests wear informal clothes. They go to the church. The guests give gifts toys and sometimes money. They give some money. They buy cards. In the party, people dance. They play board games. They like to listen to mariachi and orchest. They sing popular songs. They party begins at 2:00 p.m. and finishes at 10:00 p.m.

Oscar

 In Guatemala, children celebrate their birthday at home. They eat cake and tamales. They celebrate with a lot of friends and parents. They sometimes buy the food. They like to eat barbecue. They send everyone invitations. They wear special colors. They don’t go anywhere before the party. The guests bring toys, clothes and money. They dance at the party and play games, but they don’t sing. The party begins at 3:00 pm and finishes at 10:00 pm.

Ronald

I interviewed my classmate Maria. She is from Mexico.

In Mexico, children celebrate their birthday at home.  They eat cookies and sandwich they drink refreshment. They usually don’t send invitations. They usually invite their family and some friends because they sometimes don’t have a lot of money. The principal attraction is to destroy the Piñatas. In some parties, they have one clown to play with the children. But some parties begin at 2:00pm and finish at 6:00 pm only in the weekends.

 

Roger

 I interviewed my classmate Alma. She is from El Salvador.

 In El Salvador, children celebrate their birthday at home. They eat cake. Children celebrate with their parents, friends and brothers .Their mothers prepare the food .Their eat sandwich, beef and chicken. People send invitations. Children wear special clothes. Children get toys. The people dance. The people listen to cumbia and regeton.  The people sing cumbia. The party begins at 3:00 pm. The party finishes at 11:00 pm. In the party, one interesting is games and piñatas.    

 

Wilfredo

I interviewed my classmate Hileana Maravilla. She is from El Salvador. 

In El Salvador, children celebrate their birthday at home. They eat cookies and jellies. They celebrate with family and friends. The mother and daughters prepare the food. People eat typical food. People send invitation. The child receives toys, clothes and history books. People dance salsa and merengue. The party starts at 2:00 PM and finishes at 5:00PM. The guests receive a little bag of cookies at the end of the party. In my country, the children party is funny and very happy.

 

William

I interviewed my classmate Alma. She is from El Salvador.

In El Salvador, children celebrate their birthday at home. They eat chocolates, candies and sandwich with families and friends.  The mother prepares special food.  Adults drink beer and wine.  Hosts send invitations and wear special clothes.

The guests give toys, clothes and the family gives money. People dance and play soccer and sing “Happy Birthday.”  The party starts at 4:00 P.M. and ends at 8:00 P.M.  Children are happy at  their party.

Vilma

I interview my classmate Ledy. She is from Guatemala.

In Guatemala, children celebrate their birthday at home. They eat chicken and cake. People celebrate their birthday with their friends and family. Their mother prepares food. People send invitation. The guests give toys and clothes. The guests sometimes give money. The guests buy cards. People dance. They break the piñata. They play salsa. People sing “Happy Birthday.” The party begins at 3:00 pm and finishes at 6:00 pm. The parents of the child sometimes give the guests a gift at the end of the party. The interesting thing about how children celebrate their birthday is they play different games.  

 

Yojana

I interviewed my classmate to Marcial.  He is from Mexico.

In Mexico, children celebrate their birthday at home.  They eat tamales and cake.  People send invitation. The mother prepares food. The people eat Mexican food. The children like to wear new clothes. The people there like to dance. The party starts at 4:00 pm and finishes at 1:00 am. Something interesting about how children celebrate their birthday is they play different games with all their different friends.
