BIOGRAPHY

Dr.  Settles has decades of human resources expertises in the transportation industry. She worked for San Francisco Muni, AC Transit, BART and currently volunteers with Sam Tran. 

Her teaching experiences include San Francisco State University, University of San Francisco and St Mary's College. In addition she has served on the San Francisco Redevelopment Commission, Chair of the 2008 Delta Community Fundation fundraiser, a textbook reviewer, as well as writings in several publications in the areas of  downsizing, training, absenteeism, and retirement planning.

Dr. Settles continues to serve as a national retirement speaker for IMN (International Management Network based in New York City) for several years).

She was named Business Woman of the Year in 2001 by a national organization.  She has served on the national boards of the American Society of Training and Development, American Public Transit Association San Francisco School Volunteers; currently does volunteer work with the , Executive Board of the SamTran Paratransit Council along with the Musuem of African Diaposa.
