I came in February, 2000, by myself. I came because I’m divorced and I had  many problems with my ex husband. And I needed to change my life. My dream is to have a better life together with my children. They are in my country, Mexico.

My life now is better but I am not really happy because I miss all my family and friends. Before I lived in a nice big house, but now I live in a small apartment, but it’s nice too. I like it. Before I worked only in my house, but now I work too hard all the time in a beauty salon, because I need a lot of money to send to my family.

My country is fine, but it’s hard for a single mother like me. But with my job here, the life of my family in my country is easier now. America is better, because the life is better for all.
