The following dialogue is a spin-off from Stories from American History by Myrtis Mixon.
As the story goes...Captain John Smith was the leader of a group of English people that settled Jamestown, Virginia in 1607. Captain John Smith was captured by a tribe of Indians. The tribe began to prepare a great feast. The chief of the tribe, Powhatan, wanted to kill Captain John Smith. Powhatan's daughter, Pocahontas, wanted to save John Smith's life.
Later, Pocahontas was kidnapped by English settlers. She married a settler, John Rolfe, and she gave birth to a son, Thomas. Pocahontas went to live in England with her husband and son. She died of smallpox in England while waiting to return to Virginia to see her family.
