Black-chinned Hummingbird (Archilochus alexandri) - 17 August 2011. San Pedro House, Sierra Vista, Cochise County, Arizona.

Same details as previous. Female Hummingbirds are a challenge to identify. This female shows broad, blunt tips to the outer primaries and narrow inner primaries. She is rather uniformly pale below with faint buff on the flanks, and has a relatively long bill. These features combine to identify her as a Black-chinned.
