Rameron Pigeon (Columba arquatrix)

Rameron Pigeon (Columba arquatrix)
This large monotypic pigeon has a discontinuous and scattered distribution from East to South Africa. It is primarily a fruit-eater and is somewhat nomadic. It is also called African Olive Pigeon by some authors and that English name is sometimes hyphenated as "Olive-Pigeon." The yellow bill and eyering distinguish this species from the more common and widespread Speckled Pigeon. Canon PowerShot SX50 HS.
