This species has been widely introduced in the San Francisco Bay Area. They occur in gray and dark morphs, the latter being much less common. We have two dark morph individuals visiting our yard periodically where they like to raid our bird feeders. In general the gray morphs tend to dominate and frequently chase the dark ones off.
