This is the second of two
Harlequin Ducks seen at Mussel Rock on the San Francisco Christmas Bird Count. One bird has been present each year
since it was first found in December 2008; but this is the first time that two birds have been seen. A scope is
usually necessary to see the returning bird, but this one was directly below the parking lot and visible with binoculars.
