This bird shows mixed characters between Black-headed and Rose-breasted Grosbeak. The bird was first reported at this locality 8 May 2009 when found by Al Eisner and identified as an apparent hybrid the next day by Kris Olsen, Leonie Batkin, Al Eisner et al. This year marks the fourth summer the bird has set up a territory at this location.
