![]() ![]() We were not expecting this species and surprised to find a pair attending a nest. This small House Sparrow look-alike has a limited range in the Indus Valley and NW India. It is named for the Sindh region in Pakistan which is the core of its range. Note reduced chestnut face stripe with small black extension where it hooks below the eye, gray face and small black throat patch on this male.
