Arctic Ground-Squirrel (Spermophilus parryii ablusus)
This large ground-squirrel was apparently introduced to Unalaska from Nushagak on the Alaskan mainland in 1896 or earlier. Nushagak is the type locality of S. p. albusus characterized by larger skull, and longer, narrower nostrils compared to nominate. Formerly in the genus Urocitellus. Canon PowerShot SX50 HS.
