At least five Least Bitterns were at Las Gallinas today, two adults, two juveniles and one unknown. Activity was slow at first but picked up around 9AM. The species is generally uncommon, shy and inconspicuous. It is reportedly the smallest of the world's herons. Digiscoped with Panasonic DMC-LX5 | Nikon FS 3 | 30XWA | hand-held, no adapter.
