Cobalt-winged Parakeet (Brotogeris cyanoptera)
From a distance, this species looks all green. At close range the outer webs of the flight feathers and underwing coverts are dark cobalt-blue giving this species its name, but this color may not be obvious when the birds are perched. Three subspecies are currently recognized. This is presumably the nominate race. The race B. c. gustavi occurs nearby in the upper Huallaga Valley and differs in having yellow primary coverts. It has been treated as a separate species, Gustav's Parakeet, by some authors. Canon PowerShot SX60 HS.
