Plain Longtail (Urbanus simplicius)
There are about 95 species of Long-tailed Skippers in the genera Urbanus, Chioides, Polythrix, Typhedanus and Aguna. Urbanus typically has the underside of its wing fairly plain marked with parallel dark bands as seen here. There are 34 Urbanus species ranging from Texas to Paraguay and Argentina. Urbanus simplicius is one of the commonest and most widespread occurring from the southern United States to Bolivia. I believe that is what this is, but corrections are always welcome.
