This eastern species is a rare but regular visitor to California with most records in Spring and early Summer. This individual was found here 18 June 2011 by Garth Harwood and still present yesterday when seen by Gary Deghi. The pale head stripe and brownish wing coverts suggest an immature hatched in 2010.
