Gray Crowned-Crane (Balearica regulorum gibbericeps) - 2 July 2013. Arusha National Park, Arusha Region, Tanzania.

This is part of a pair which was escorting two large young. The juvenile is on the left. They are astonishing looking birds. I recall being quite impressed as a child when I encountered them for the first time at the Bronx Zoo. The stiff bristles that form the crest are unlike any other bird. Females are said to have a slightly smaller crest than males, but are otherwise similar.
