This Hartebeest subspecies is endemic to Kenya and adjacent Tanzania. It is sometimes called Coke's Hartebeest. Both sexes have horns with shape varying greatly between subspecies. In the distant background is a Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis michaeli).
