Namaqua Dove (Oena capensis capensisi) - pair - 3 July 2013. Tarangire National Park, Manyara Region, Tanzania.

Male on right. These small, long-tailed doves are one of my favorites. We often saw them in pairs or small groups foraging on the ground in open areas. In flight they show a lot of rusty color in their wings reminding me of the Tropical American Ground-Doves. Namaqua Doves are the only species in the genus Oena.
