Ring-necked Dove (Streptopelia capicola tropica) - 3 July 2013. Tarangire National Park, Manyara Region, Tanzania.

This was one of the most abundant lowland species on our recent trip. It was so common that we tended to ignore them. Its dark eyes and blue-gray orbital skin distinguish it from the similar Red-eyed Dove and Mourning Collared-Dove.
