Yellow-billed Stork (Mycteria ibis) - 1 July 2013. Mount Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary, Usa River, Arusha Region, Tanzania.

This is a relatively common and widespread species in Africa south of the Sahara.

This free-flying individual was attracted to a fenced pond at a game farm across from the lodge. Here you can see the faint pink wash to its wing coverts found in breeding plumage. In the background is a captive zebra.
