This species is rather range restricted in Thailand. We took a small boat to the end of a sand-spit hoping to see its. I believe this is a female showing a rufous chest-band. The band varies from complete as on this individual to broken just at the sides. Males have a black band, not rufous. Both show some rufous on the crown.
