These large lizards were fairly common. They are said to be the world's second heaviest lizard, after the Komodo dragon. Adults typically reach 5-6 feet in length. If you look closely, a Mudskipper (Walking Goby) can be seen on the mud in front of the Water Monitor at the top. At least ten species of mudskippers have been recorded in Thailand. Anybody know which one this is?
