Striated Starling (Aplonis striata) 22 September 2019, Parc de la Rivière Bleue, New Caledonia
This is a male. Females are paler and grayer, lacking the iridescent gloss on the head. This species
is endemic to New Caledonia. Two subspecies are recognized of which this is the nominate characterized by its
