Wood Thrush (Hylocichla mustelina) 2 February 2011, Gallon Jug Ranch, Orange Walk District, Belize.

This familiar winter visitor from North America was surprisingly common in shady forested areas. This one came out onto the road long enough for me to get a photo.

It is the sole member of the Hylocichla genus although early authors included the thrushes in genus Catharus with it.
