Lesser Black-backed Gull returning to San Jose

Lesser Black-backed Gull Lake Cunningham, San Jose, Santa Clara County, California, 27 December 1998. This bird was found 20 December by Steve Rottenborn. It is the same bird seen here last year and is now in third basic plumage. Steve's account of this bird was posted to the south-bay-birds mailing list and may be found in the December 1998 archives.
