This individual was first found 26 December 2010 by Rob Thomas. Special thanks to Harjeet Randhawa for locating the bird for us after the rest of us spent three hour watching reeds turn brown. I expect his photos will be much better than these. This is apparently the second Contra Costa County record of this secretive species. The first was at nearby Waterfront Rd. in Martinez in 9-12 April 1994 by Bruce Elliot and Bob Richmond.
