As I was crossing US-23 tonight,just before sundown, I spotted an odd bird sitting on the concrete railing.
This bird looked very much like a Starling ,but had feathers on it's FEET.These feathers were almost as long as it's tail-feathers,and were of the same dark speckled color.
I was within 5ft.of it so I could see that it wasn't grasping them, but looked connected at it's ' ankles'.
This "sighting" was on the OWEN Road overpass in Fenton ,Michigan. At about 7:30pm.
I will" book-mark"this page,and refer to it often until I find-out What this species is.
Unfortunately I didn't have a camera handy,but will be watching the area for a repeat of it's appearance.
Please respond with the proper name of this species ,as I've looked through most of the available photos,and did not find one that looked like it.
