I believe, in spite of the barring in the tail, this is a Nuttall's. It's too sharply black and white. Shouldn't Ladder-backed have some brownish tint to the upperparts and buffy underparts? Also, I believe there is too much black and not enough white in the cheek area for Ladder-backed. The only other option is, indeed, the H-word.
