The hummingbird reminds me a lot of the imm. Broad-tailed documented and photo'd in my backyard in Davis last summer. Orange flanks, green back (w/ no orange wrapping up), long tail, white around eye. I also like the smoky orange brick tone to the orange, as opposed to bright reddish-orange on Rufous/Allen's. The green up at the chest side (only apparent in the righthand photo) is interesting and suggests Broad-tailed. Is that ever shown by Rufous/Allen's?
As for the goldeneye, bill and head profile strongly suggest Common. I'd be curious as to why it wouldn't be.
