Mountain Bluebirds were showing nicely around the edge of a mowed field where we saw two Sprague's Pipits. I posted a poor photo of the pipit and an account at:

I took this Mountain Bluebird photo on the way back to the car. They were hovering all around us, but kept landing on mounds of bare dirt marked by whitewash.
