This afternoon I checked the creek mouth, and this Sora posed for a picture. I was surprised to see this Sora biting the adjacent vegetation. According to the BNA account this species's diet includes some leafy plant material, including leaves or stems of duckweeds (Lemna spp.) and pondweeds (Potamogeton spp.).
