Yesterday, while waiting for a rare Palm Warbler to return to my neighbor's yard in Pacifica, California, I photographed these Yellow-rumped Warblers. The first is the white-throated subspecies formerly known as Myrtle Warbler and the second is the yellow-throated subspecies formerly known as Audubon's Warbler. Both are fairly common in winter throughout California.
