IS THERE A
CAREER IN PSYCHOLOGY IN YOUR FUTURE?
Does the field of Psychology intrigue you? Come join the students of
Psychology 61-62-63 (Internships in Psychology class) to learn how you can earn
1-3 units academic credit for volunteer work in a community service agency or
on-campus placement.
The event is called "A Celebration of Past, Present and Future" and it
is both a chance to meet CCSF psych major alumni as well as attend a required
Informational Meeting about joining the class and getting an internship for the
Fall 2007 semester. The event will take place on Monday, May 7th, Batmale
553, from 6:30-9:30 PM. Free drinks and pizza, courtesy of the Psychology Club,
will be provided at 6PM.
------------------------------
Psy 61-62-63 is an
ideal way for a student to explore the reality of being a psych major. It
also provides excellent experience for a student who eventually wishes to apply
for a Bachelors or Graduate program in psychology, counseling, social work, etc.
Such programs are often impacted and field placement experiences are powerful
additions to a student’s application package.
------------------------------
At the May 7th event, interested students can learn more about the Psychology
Internship Program by talking to current student interns and their supervisors.
They can also network with CCSF alumni currently attending or about to transfer
to Undergraduate and Graduate Psychology programs, including Bachelors, Masters,
PsyD and PhD.
