Background: Keanu Reeves has agreed to star in SPEED 10B, a sequel to his wildly successful earlier SPEED movie. For the opening sequence his character is handcuffed to the steering wheel of a car rolling down Hyde St. (pictured at left). He escapes just before smashing into a truck at water’s edge and flies into San Francisco Bay. Your Engineering Team has been hired by Mr. Big, the Producer, to model this stunt. Objective: To design a device that rolls down a ramp and launches the Stuntman into the “Bay” Competition Pictures |
