Dirigible Drag Race

    Objective:  In the 1950s, with cars becoming more powerful, drag racing as a sport became very popular.  The idea is simple: two vehicles attempt to complete a short, straight, and level course in the shortest amount of time starting from a dead stop.

    In the top ranks, professional drag racing is a very expensive business. However, people still race illegally on long stretches of local roads.  There is a greater thrill to do this than to race on a drag strip.

    With the concept of drag racing in mind, your engineering team has been tasked to design a 21st century "drag racing" device for competition with other teams. However, there is a twist.  The contest will not take place on the ground…
