DILOPHOSAURUS

The Dilophosaurus is on long-term loan from the California Academy of Sciences to be displayed here at CCSF. It was originally part of the Life Through Time Rock Wall at California Academy of Sciences. The fossil is a cast made from an original held at the Museum of Paleontology at Berkeley. This dinosaur existed between 208 and 204 million years ago. The bones are embedded in fiberglass, which was originally used to simulate the look of a real rock. The Therapod is currently on the wall outside S45.
