 Here is a story called Ghost in the Museum. For this story, you have to choose what happens by clicking at the bottom of the page. You will get a different story depending on which choice you make.

 Here is a link to Time for Kids, an online magazine. You can "surf" the website. (Click on different links and see what is interesting.)

 Here is a link to Yak's Corner, another online magazine. You can click on the link to find more information in the news section. You can also click on the links on the left. Planet Yak tells about different cultures in uncommon places. Animals has a lot of information about different animals. Surf to see what you can find.

 Here is a link to a site that talks about photography, from a bird's-eye view and a worm's-eye view. Click on the arrows to continue at this site.

 Nasreddin Stories is a site that has stories and exercises about them. Choose Reading Comprehension to read the story and take a comprehension test to see if you understood it. There are also two other activities you can do with each story.

 Here is a site especially for ESL students. It's called Interesting Things for ESL Students. You can click on different links on the first page, or you can click on the Menu for www.ManyThings.org, and click on where you want to go.

 Geonet--A Quiz Game
    Click on the link and a new window will pop up with a map of the United States. You can click on the button at the bottom of your screen to come back to these directions if you need to.
  • First click on a flag to choose which part of the country you want to answer questions about.
  • Then choose easy or hard, and choose a category. You can read about each of the six categories when you move your mouse over the picture. Click when you decide which one to choose.
  • Next you will see a question. You can also click on Reference Maps at the top to see some maps which might help you. You have to click a link. If you do that, you have to click close when you are finished.
  • Choose which answer you want, go down to the bottom of the screen and click Am I right?.
  • You may have to try more than once, but after you get the right answer, you will also see a little more information.
  • If you want to change the subject, you can click Search Category at the bottom of the screen.
  • If you want to stop, you can choose End Game at the top.

 This is a short food safety quiz for kids, but the information is good for adults too.

 Click here to go to a reading about something in the news. Click on Full Story to read all the information. Then click on Current Events to go back to the first page. Take the News Quiz if you like, but don't do the Word Games because the answers are not online.

 Click ToLearnEnglish.com is a website that changes every day. It has a lot of links on the bottom of the page too.

 There are two short quiz activities. You can choose Verb Forms or A, An or Nothing. You can see how many correct answers you can get in 20 or 30 seconds. Be careful! The test starts right away. If you get too nervous on timed tests, don't do this one.

 This website has a lot of news stories. If you click on this link, you will go to the current story. You can also click on Story Archives to read past stories. The abridged story is an easier version.
