  1. What is the life story of a red blood corpuscle?
    • Explain where it is formed,
    • its structure and function,
    • how it dies, and
    • what be comes of its remains.

  2. What is a:
    • vascular spasm?
    • A platelet plug?
    • Explain what initiates clotting, and
    • describe the sequence of chemical changes which produce the material of the clot.
    • What is a clot retraction?
    • What happens to a clot after it has served its purpose?

  3. The general function of WBCs is defense against foreign matter, including micro-organisms.
    • Describe three different ways in which WBCs accomplish this defense.
    • What is diapedesis?
