Lab hours:  15 hours total due by Wednesday, July 20

I.  Final Audacity Recording (25 points)

It is your responsibility to make sure that your recordings are audible.  If they are not audible, I will send them back to you and/or you might not get full credit

Part of this assignment is for you to listen to your own voice and hopefully re-record it to improve.

Label the assignment with your name, the number of the assignment, and with the extension.mp3

If your name is Mary Smith, your second audacity recording should come to me as

marysmith2.mp3  (If you have a really long name, you can shorten your name.)

 Email your recording to nhusari@gmail.com

Assignment

Listen to my comments on your recording, and look at your papers.

Part I.  Copy 5 NEW problem words or phrases.  Write these words or phrases in new originals sentences.  Practice many times.

Record these sentences on your new Audacity recording.

Part II.

Write a paragraph about what you have learned in this class and how you plan to improve your pronunciation and  speaking skills in English.   Practice many times.

Record yourself reading this in a natural way.

Time your recording while you are practicing.  The entire recording should be 5 minutes maximum.  I am looking for quality, not quantity.

GRADING:

Notice that the assignment  has 4 parts:  2 written and 2 recorded.

Everyone starts with the full 25 points, but you will lose points if something is missing or of low quality.

You will lose 5 points per part if something is missing.

You will lose 3 points if I have to send your recording back to you because it is inaudible.

You will lose points if it is obvious to me that you did not spend enough time on the assignment.
