This course covers programming fundamentals using the Java language, emphasizing an object-oriented approach to
problem solving. Topics include classes, objects, references, dynamic memory allocation, inheritance,
polymorphism, arrays, files, design and implementation of abstract data types, in numerical and non-numerical
applications.
- 16-week condensed format, starts February 1, ends May 26, 2027

Students must appear in person at the Ocean Campus in San Francisco for both exams in order to pass the class.
If you are unable to attend at a time shown above, please contact me and we will find another time for you to take the

If you prefer paper books, print versions of both books can be found for sale.

In the first 2 weeks of class, we
will cover Chapters 1-5 of Think Java, as a quick review of topics from CS 110A or CS 111B. So if you are new to
programming, I recommend you study those chapters before our class begins.

Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley in 2007.
