I have a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Maryland and an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Miami. I am a native of Brooklyn, New York, although I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. I have enjoyed living in Northern California since 1975. I have retired from City College of San Francisco after 37 years teaching computer languages and web development classes. I have been teaching critical thinking classes at Santa Rosa Junior College for 29 years. In Fall 2018, I will be teaching two online sections of critical thinking. I have been teaching online courses since 2002. My outside interests include analyzing and writing about social and political issues, watching San Francisco Giants baseball games, and playing bridge on the Internet.
