Academic Freedom at City College of San Francisco |
Academic
freedom of faculty and students is a foundational principle central to
academic institutions. CCSF is unequivocally and unalterably committed
to the principle of academic freedom in its true sense which includes
freedom to study, freedom to learn, and freedom to teach and provide
educational professional services to students. The institution’s
faculty and students are free to examine and test all knowledge
appropriate to their discipline or area of major study as judged by the
academic/educational community in general. Regardless of institutional
affiliation or sponsorship, the institution maintains an atmosphere in
which intellectual freedom and independence exist. |
