Wynd's Teaching Philosophy

I believe that engineering is fun! However, it is also a lot of hard work! It is the most challenging of the undergraduate majors and that is why it is so satisfying. I try to explain the material as clearly as possible during the class lectures and encourage students to ask questions. I work hard preparing my lectures and I expect students to work hard preparing for class. This means reading the material (several times!), contemplating and pondering it, showing up for class each scheduled session, and doing all assigned homework. If a student does all of this, she will be assured of learning a great deal. (And incidentally, she will also be assured of passing the course with a good grade.)
