Completion of Mathematics 860 (formerly 802A) or 92 (formerly 2) or 2nd year high school algebra or its equivalent (basically intermediate algebra) with a grade of “C” or higher is a prerequisite for this course. 

Alternatively, if your CCSF math placement exam places you into Math 80 or above, you have the prerequisite for this course. 

If you do not have these prerequisites, do not register for this course.

Many students start statistics with an inadequate algebra background. This makes it much harder. I recommend that you work on your algebra if you missed two or more of the problems in Exercise 2. These sites are a good place to start:
