I too am at a loss to explain the streaking on the flanks, which I've only seen on the Solitary complex, which I'm reasonably sure this not based on lack of complete eye-ring and contrast between eye-ring and face. I still vote for Hutton's which would be right at home in a Coast Live Oak like this one, and I doubt that a Gray would ever be found in that type of habitat.
