About This SiteAt the risk of appearing dramatically pretentious and exposing myself as the mediocre writer and photographer I am, and against my better judgment, I have decided to attempt to create an all-in-one website to house my hobbies, and give you a way to keep in touch with me throughout my travels. I have played at web-design since I was only 10 or 11 years old, when I created oh-so-embarrassing shrines to my favorite television series and its characters. During high school, I kept a colorful site, busy with quotes, graphics, inside-jokes, shout-outs, and no discernable purpose or meaningful content. In college, perhaps in a subconscious effort to separate myself as much as I could from my former life, I deleted everything and published an over-simplified, highly elusive site (I wouldn't even descend to writing in a first-person narrative) giving as little information as to my whereabouts as possible, and left it to float unattended in cyberspace for the duration of my undergraduate studies. And now! Another humiliating realization and confession: I have become trapped in that philosophical stage that every healthy early-twenties college graduate seems to fall victim to. And that is, now I know that I don't know anything, but knowing that I don't know makes me feel like I'm in the know, more so than these phonies who think they know something about anything. So, the more I become aware of my devastatingly feeble awareness, the better and worse I feel about the status-quo. Thus, the newest chapter in the saga of my internet adventures: this apologetically pompous endeavor to share my thoughts and artistic attempts. I hope that, someday soon, I can offer something of value. Until then, thank you for humoring my efforts. With Love, |
